Directions: 
Go north on 35W to Hwy. 10 and then go north and west on
Hwy. 10 until you reach Hwy. 65. Take Hwy. 65 north until you reach
Isanti, Minnesota. Turn left on Isanti County Road 5 and go until you
reach Isanti County Road 23 (Whiskey Rd.). It’s maybe a mile more or
less. Turn left on County Road 23 (Whiskey Rd.) Go .03 miles to
Martin’s Landing Rd. There is a small brown public water access sign
on the left side of the road. Turn right onto Martin’s Landing Road
which is a dirt road. Follow the dirt road until you reach the parking
lot. This will be our put in point. We will drop off our canoes and
kayaks there and we will do a vehicle shuttle down to the Rum River
North County Park after unloading our boats and gear. Directions to
the Rum River North County Park for the canoe/kayak shuttle. Go back
to Isanti County Road 23 and turn right and follow Isanti County Road
23 until you reach Isanti County Road 69 and Anoka County Road 72 road
signs. A very short distance ahead you will make a left turn. Turn
left and go until you reach a stop sign. Turn right and follow the
road which turns into Anoka County Road when you cross the county
line. Follow Anoka County Road 72 all the way to St. Francis. Turn
right at the second Rum River North County Park entrance and drive to
the canoe access parking lot. We will park as many vehicles there as
we possibly can. I will need volunteers to drive the rest of us back
up to the put in point to start the trip.
